Hello, fellow Techies and errant Trekkies!  Welcome to Gotta Go Tech.  

 

This blog is mainly for fun and I hope you will enjoy and find it useful.  I have been fascinated by the ability to have a computer in the palm of my hand since I first saw Spock use a tricorder!

 

So what, there are tons of mobile phone blogs right?  You are correct and I follow several as well as podcasts, but I am not trying to reinvent the wheel here, The guys over at the Verge, Android Central ETC ETC cover that stuff better than I ever could.

 

For me, as much as I love my Galaxy Note 2,  portable computing isn’t about phones it is about being able to do everything I can do in my office at home out of a portable computer.  This includes video editing, sound editing, presentations, keeping my blog up everything.  Some of this you can do with your phone especially one like the Note series but it is not really the right tool for the job.

 

I know grab a laptop.  There are some cool laptops out there but why spend $2500.00 on a sick gaming machine when you can have comparable power and ability for 1/5 the cost. Besides having a box that will fit in the palm of your hand that will run 3D games and edit video as fast as a full tower is just fun or having a thumb drive I can use to “hijack” any hardware and use it like my own is so James Bond!
